The PLANT‑0001 geometric planter distills organic inspiration into a compact sculptural form. Its softly rounded profile is enveloped by a tessellated scale‑like relief that echoes biomorphic textures found in pinecones or fish scales. Each individual “scale” is subtly faceted, catching ambient light to create a dynamic play of highlights and shadows that shifts as one moves around the vessel. The pattern’s rhythmic repetition reinforces rotational symmetry while introducing delicate negative‑space channels between the raised elements—channels that gently reveal glimpses of the plant’s base and invite an intimate visual connection with its soil and roots. The planter’s flared rim provides a framing gesture, guiding the eye inward toward sprouting foliage, while the integrated saucer mirrors the same textural vocabulary, unifying form and function. Proportions are carefully calibrated: at approximately 10.8 cm in height and diameter, PLANT‑0001 occupies minimal footprint yet exerts a strong sculptural presence on desktops or windowsills. The matte finish underscores the purity of its geometry and encourages tactile engagement, as fingers trace the gentle contours of each scale. How are the planter made?

Modern 3D printing technology is used to produce the UPETAL 3DESIGN planter.

This is how the extraordinary and delicate structure of the planter can be created - while at the same time being very light. We paid particular attention to sustainability and quality when it came to the material used. - a bio-plastic made from corn starch - we have paid particular attention to sustainability and quality.

What material are the planter made of?

If the planter is exposed to high temperatures (e.g. in direct sunlight behind a window), the material can lose stability, causing the planter to warp. A series of tests carried out over a few weeks came to the conclusion that this can happen , but does not happen in every case.

However, we expressly point out that there is a possibility that the planter can deform at temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

The 3D printed planter itself is not waterproof due to its manufacturing process, and water may seep out from the planter. We recommend using this planter for displaying dried flowers.
