The iron is great for treatments, I have been able to test it and it works very well. It is not a heat iron for styling, as some people mention that it doesn't heat up; its function is not to heat. The ultrasound, along with the infrared light, causes the treatment particles to decrease for better penetration into the hair fiber. You wash your hair, apply the mask or treatment, and go strand by strand using the iron not too quickly. If the hair needs proteins, it will react as you pass the iron through it. Go over it a few times per strand, leave it for about 10 minutes, and rinse well. I hope this was helpful. One last thing, the infrared light has to be facing upwards, the hair is placed in the ultrasound, and you close the iron so that the infrared light... baje.
